In my parents generation tattoo’s seemed to revolve around bikers with bad attitudes and big reputations. Likewise it revolved around gang initiations and seemed to hold a “bad boy reputation. Back then tattoo’s meant bad news and so did the people who wore them. However times have come a long way sense my parents were young.

Today tattoos are found for all sorts of different reasons. Mothers get tattoos of their childrens names, college students get them as part of sorority initiations, style trends like emo and goth also also play into the mix and we find all sorts of reasons for tattoo’s.

Because of these changes an entire new form of art known as the tattoo has become very popular. There are many artists in this field who have made their claim to fame by adding their masterpiece to the living canvas of someones body.
